LADIES HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

Ok ladies, it's that time again. Halloween is approaching and it's time to decide on your costume. There are literally thousands of ideas out there, everything from sweet and cute, scary, sexy, and downright silly. So the first question to ask yourself is which category? Would you like to do a couple theme with your special guy? We all have our favorites from the movies, TV, books, or real life. So it's no wonder it seems so hard to decide. So, we'll explore some good ideas and hopefully at least help you narrow it down.
So let's start with cute and funny, here are some ideas from several different themes.

TV and Movies: Disney character costumes are always easy to find pick your favorite and you are sure to feel like a naughty girl or a princess.
Cruella DeVille, Minnie Mouse, TinkerBell, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, the Little Mermaid, the Evil Queen, or for a different twist on Disney how about Sally (Nightmare Before Christmas). Any of these could be used as a good couples costume with the appropriate male addition.
The Wizard of Oz offers the Dorothy, Good Witch Glinda, or the Wicked Witch. Makes a cute group theme when paired with the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion.
Other TV and movie characters offers a great assortment of ladies halloween costumes: Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Catwoman, Jeannie, Morticia Adams, June Cleaver, Lucy in various outfits, Star Trek offers a great variety from Fleet costumes to eleborate Klingons or Borg, Judy Jetson, X-Men characters are always fun, Saturday Night Live characters are sure to get a good laugh, Flintstones Wilma, Betty, or Pebbles can be paired to make a good couple or group costume, Princess Leah is always a good choice but do you dare wear the gold bikini? Then of course you have the icons, Marilyn Monroe, Belle Starr, Madonna, Betty Boop, Cleopatra, Cher, Jackie O, Carmen Miranda, the Indian princess, or Medusa.

Still not sure? How about a historical ladies Halloween costume? Pick a time period, there are so many great costumes for period lovers. Pirates, Cowgirls, Flappers, Dance Hall Girls, Gypsy's, Cavegirls, Geisha's, Greek Goddess', Pilgrims, Maidens or Queens, Gangsters, or even a disco queen.

There is always the kitten, angel, devil, nun, nurse, doctor, french maid, cheerleader, cow, or pretty much any other animal or occupation you can think of.
Ok, so what if you're feeling a little scary? You can pretty much make any costume into a dead "x", just fill in the blank. Dead brides, dead or zombied characters, just add a little blood and some peeling latex skin. Some would call a Devil costume scary, but it seems they mostly end up being sexy devils. I've seen a cute half angel half devil costume. Still not very scary. To me, you need some blood and guts to be listed in the category. Carrie, drenched in blood is good. Or a creepy serial killer victim. I've found that most ladies Halloween costumes seem to turn to the sexy hooker type fairly quickly on most lists, but I'm going to stay away from those here. I've done an entire site dedicated to the sexy side so if that's your purpose, check out the sexy page.
The key to any ladies Halloween costume whether you buy it or make it, is comfort. You want to make sure your bathroom trips won't require a team of experts to get you out of the outfit. Many of the manufactured costumes come with all sorts of snaps, buttons, and of course zippers. Just make sure to try on a costume before deciding. You will be able to tell how comfortable it will be based on your fitting room experience. Have fun!
